The Mulvane softball team goes 3-0 on the week and extends their win streak to 9.

The Mulvane High School softball team had one double header this past week versus Clearwater and a make-up game on Saturday at Winfield. The Cats hosted the Indians on Monday and in the first game, the Wildcats found themselves down early and big with Clearwater scoring 9 runs in the first two innings. The Wildcats were able to regain focus and chipped away at the lead with 3 runs in the 4th and 5th innings. The Indians were able to add a few runs themselves in later innings, but in the bottom of the 7th inning, the Wildcats dropped in 4 runs to tie the game 12-12 and force extra innings. Neither team scored in the 8th inning and the Wildcats were able to hold Clearwater in the top of the 9th. In the bottom of the 9th inning, the Cats had the bases loaded with 2 outs, and with 1 strike, junior Regan Witt knocked a ball over the right fielder's head and the Wildcats got the 13-12 win in dramatic fashion.

Addison Mackey earned the win for the Mulvane Wildcats. She tossed 9 innings, giving up 12 runs, 13 hits, walking 4, and 3 strikeouts.

Olivia Ellis, Madison Phipps, and Addison Mackey all had 3 hits to lead the Wildcats. Jaryn Baker, Regan Witt, and Avrie Warner each had hits as well in the game for the Cats. The Cats had 10 RBIs in the game. Madison Phipps, and Jaryn Baker both had 3 RBIs to lead the Wildcats. Regan Witt, Addison Mackey, and Blake Ferraro also had RBIs for the Cats.

Game 2 was also a dramatic game for the Wildcats as they again found themselves down 1-3 in the 6th inning when the Cats got 4 runners across the plate to take a 5-3 lead. The Wildcats were able to hold off the Indians for the win. Sophie Bruce earned the win for Mulvane. She tossed 7 innings, giving up 3 runs, 6 hits, walking 1, and 2 strikeouts.

Addison Mackey and Madison Phipps both had 2 hits to lead Mulvane. Jaryn Baker, Makaylen Warner, India Downs, and Kinley Kendrick each had hits in the game for Mulvane. The Mulvane Wildcats had 5 RBIs in the game. Addison Mackey and Kinley Kendrick both had 2 RBIs to lead Mulvane. Madison Phipps also had an RBI for Mulvane.

The Wildcats traveled to Winfield for a make-up game with the Vikings from earlier in the season. The Cats scored early and often as they won easily 17-1. Addison Mackey earned the win for Mulvane. She tossed 4 innings, giving up 0 runs, 0 hits, walking 1, and 4 strikeouts.

Madison Phipps, Reece Lazier, and Olivia Ellis all had 2 hits to lead the Wildcats. Avrie Warner, Sophie Bruce, India Downs, Addison Mackey, Regan Witt, and Jaryn Baker also had hits in the game for the Cats.

Mulvane finished with 14 RBIs in the game. Madison Phipps knocked in 4 runners to lead Mulvane in RBIs. Reece Lazier, Regan Witt, Jaryn Baker, Blake Ferraro, and Sophie Bruce each had RBIs for the Cats.

The JV girls fell to Clearwater 2-7 and 2-8 but got a win against Winfield 18-5. The varsity girls are sitting at 12-4 on the year and 4-2 in league play. The JV girls are at 3-3 on the year. The Wildcats will be on the road all next week as they travel to Circle on Monday and Andale on Thursday.
