The MHS track team celebrated senior night at home and the boys team finishes in the top spot in the team standings.

The Mulvane High School Track & Field team hosted their second and final meet of the season on Friday, April 5th, and the Wildcats finished with 6 first-place finishes, 8 second-place finishes, and 11 third-place finishes. The Wildcats celebrated senior night as well, honoring the senior athletes Samantha Sweeney, Mackinsey Swayne, Kaia Moore, Loren Gonzalez, Payton Fox, Aiden Bergstresser, Andrew Bergstresser, Garrett Booe, Matthew Eggleston, Tucker Hargrove, Jonah LaRue, and Isaac Waterman. As a team, the boys finished in 1st place with 89 points and the girls finished in 3rd place with 32 points.

Hunter Landis finished in 1st place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.84. Cole Zimmerman grabbed the gold in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 21.02. Garrett Booe finished on top in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 44.33. Gunner Uhrig, Jacob Wilson, Kaden Palmer, and Hunter Landis finished in 1st place in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:40.21. Fisher Dye grabbed the gold in the triple jump with a distance of 39-11.25. McKenzie Storment grabbed the gold in the pole vault with a height of 6-0.

Ethan Hankins finished in 2nd place in the 3200-meter run with a time of 10:55.22. James Inkelaar grabbed the silver in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 21.72. Jonathan Wilson, Ethan Hankins, Cole Zimmerman, and Jacob Wilson finished in 2nd place in the 4x800 meter relay with a time of 8:58.34. Fisher Dye grabbed the silver in the long jump with a distance of 20-2.75. Rocky Heersche finished in 2nd place in the shot put with a distance of 38-10. Rocky Heersche finished in 2nd place in the javelin with a distance of 131-11. Shelby Light, Abigail DeWitt, Sierra Schmitz, and Emma Jacobs grabbed the silver in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 5:11.33. Shelby Light grabbed the silver in the discus with a distance of 84-5.

Jonah LaRue finished in 3rd place in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:11.37. Jonathan Wilson grabbed the bronze in the 3200-meter run with a time of 11:05.94. Kurtis Caruthers, James Inkelaar, Hunter Heckart, and Lane Rogers grabbed the bronze in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 51.92. Kristopher Paul, Isaac Waterman, Tucker Hargrove, and Jonah LaRue finished in 3rd place in the 4x800 meter relay with a time of 9:32.03. Kaden Palmer grabbed the bronze in the long jump with a distance of 19-8.25. Hunter Heckart grabbed the bronze in the pole vault with a height of 8-6. Colter Light finished in 3rd place in the javelin with a distance of 130-11. Sierra Schmitz finished in 3rd place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 14.17. Sierra Schmitz grabbed the bronze in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:17.41. McKenzie Storment, Abigail DeWitt, Emma Jacobs, and Sierra Schmitz finished in 3rd place in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 59.11. Mackinsey Swayne finished in 3rd place in the shot put with a distance of 28-7.
