The Mulvane baseball team had 3 games this past week. Sweep the Indians and win make-up game versus Winfield.

The Mulvane High School baseball team had one double header this past week versus Clearwater and a make-up game on Saturday at Winfield. The Cats hosted the Indians on Monday and in the first game, the Wildcats jumped out quickly to a 5 run lead in the first inning. The Wildcats would add 6 more in the second inning and ended with a 13-1 run-rule win.

Nolan Fevurly earned the win for the Wildcats. He tossed 4 innings, giving up 0 runs, 1 hit, walking 3, and 9 strikeouts. Brayden Tatum also pitched for the Wildcats. He tossed 2 innings, giving up 1 run, 1 hit, and walking 0.

Mulvane as a team had 11 hits in the game. Nolan Fevurly went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Wildcats in hits. Parker Clubb, Manny Myers, Brayden Tatum, Garrett Olson, Hays Ensley, and Reed Hackleman each had hits in the game for the Cats.

Mulvane grabbed 11 RBIs in the game. Nolan Fevurly knocked in 4 runners to lead the Wildcats in RBIs. Parker Clubb, Brayden Tatum, Hays Ensley, Reed Hackleman, and Grey Sanders each had RBIs for the Cats.

Game two was much the same as the Wildcats took an early lead and ended with a 10-0 run-rule win. Parker Clubb earned the win for the Mulvane Wildcats. He tossed 3 and 2/3 innings, giving up 0 runs, 2 hits, walking 0, and 5 strikeouts. Manny Myers also pitched for the Mulvane Wildcats. He tossed 1 and 1/3 innings, giving up 0 runs, 0 hits, walking 1, and 2 strikeouts.

The Wildcats as a team collected 6 hits in the game. Nolan Fevurly went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead the Wildcats in hits. Peyton Cooper, Reed Hackleman, Hays Ensley, and Lucas Sorensen each collected hits in the game for Mulvane.

The Wildcats traveled to Winfield on Saturday for a make-up game against the Vikings from earlier in the season. The teams were tied 2-2 after 5 innings, but the Wildcats were able to put 7 runs on the board the next two innings for the 9-2 win.

Grey Sanders earned the win for the Cats. He tossed 1 and 2/3 innings, giving up 1 run, 1 hit, and walking 0. Lucas Sorensen also pitched for the Cats. He tossed 2 and 1/3 innings, giving up 1 run, 4 hits, and walking 0. Parker Clubb got the start on the mound for the Cats. He tossed 2 innings, giving up 0 runs, 0 hits, walking 0, and 2 strikeouts. Nolan Fevurly also pitched for the Cats. He tossed 2 innings, giving up 0 runs, 0 hits, walking 0, and 2 strikeouts, and earned the save for the Cats.

The Wildcats as a team finished with 10 hits in the game. Lucas Sorensen, Brayden Tatum, and Hays Ensley all had 2 hits to lead the team. Garrett Olson, Parker Clubb, Nolan Fevurly, and Grey Sanders also finished with hits in the game for the Cats.

The JV boys had one game versus Clearwater, which they won handily 20-0 and defeated Winfield with a score of 10-0. The varsity team is sitting at 11-3 on the year and the JV boys are still undefeated at 11-0. The Wildcats will be on the road all next week as they travel to Circle on Monday and Andale on Thursday.
