Fennewald and Haynes signed to play football with the William Jewel Cardinals

Former Mulvane Wildcats Kolby Fennewald (2013) and Zach Haynes (2013) will be Cardinals and teammates once again for the 2015 Football season as they signed with William Jewell College to continue their college football careers. William Jewell is a Division II school located in Liberty, Missouri and competes in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Cardinals finished the 2014 season with a 5-6 record and 5-3 in conference play.

Former Mulvane defensive back Kolby Fennewald (2013) finished up his second year at Butler County Community College for the Grizzlies football team. He played special teams in the 2013 season and was moved to Linebacker in 2014 spring ball. Earlier in the 2014 season, Kolby was primary back up for all 3 linebacker positions, and playing on every special teams. Kolby started linebacker the last few games of the season. He finished the 2014 season with 57 Tackles, 3 Sacks - 11 yds, 2 Int, and 1 fumble recovery that he returned for a TD.

Kolby was named the week 10 KJCCC Defensive Player of the Week, the Academic Athlete of the week at Butler County back in September and was also selected to the KJCCC Academic All Conference team for the 2013 Season.

Former Mulvane linebacker Zach Haynes (2013) finished up his second year at Highland Community College. The Scottie’s ended the 2014 with a 6-5 (3-4) record and tied for 4th place in the KJCCC League Standings. Zach ended the season with 36 tackles, 3.5 sacks - 23 yards, 1 INT that he returned for a TD, and 1 fumble recovery. Zach’s great 2014 season earned him KJCCC Honorable Mention All Conference honors at the Linebacker position.

Some of the schools that Zach participated in talks with were University of Central Oklahoma, Missouri Southern State University, Arkansas Tech University, University of Arkansas at Monticello, Midwestern State University (TX), and Northern State University (SD).
