The Mulvane Middle School Cross Country team hosted their one and only home meet this past Tuesday, October 3rd. The Wildcats had 11 medalists between the 4 races. The 8th-grade boys had 2 medalists in the 2-mile run. Robbie Rico grabbed 5th place with a time of 12:37.09 and Colby Billingslea finished in 15th place with a time of 13:36.07.
The 8th-grade girls had 5 medalists in the 2-mile race and as a team finished in 2nd place. Kaitlyn Paul finished in 4th place with a time of 14:19.43, Peyton Bartel grabbed 6th place with a time of 15:07.79, Emily Franklin finished in 12th place with a time of 16:10.44, Penelope Abrams finished in 18th place with a time of 16:30.44, and Gloria Westhoff finished in 20th place with a time of 16:52.27.
The 7th-grade boy had 2 medalists in the 1-mile race and as a team finished in 8th place. Taydin Walker grabbed 2nd place with a time of 6:09.76 and James Blauser finished in 24th place with a time of 7:03.49. The 7th-grade girls also had 2 medalists in the 1-mile race. Eloise Baerg finished in 7th place with a time of 7:25.49 and Johanna Hutchinson finished in 27th place with a time of 8:16.87.
