MHS - Men's Basketball / January 27, 2024 By Kasey McDowell
The Mulvane men's basketball team participated in the Roadrunner Classic on January 18-20 with games on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The Wildcats took care of business in game one against Clearwater, winning 66-46. Aiden McKee had a monster game with 28 points on the evening. Gavin Wayman led the Cats on the boards with 6 rebounds.
The second game of the tournament was against Wellington and this time it was Kaiden Abasolo's turn for a monster game and he finished with 27 points. Shannon Fuller led the Cats on the boards with 6 rebounds.
The championship game featured Mulvane versus Circle on Saturday. The Wildcats fell to the Thunderbirds 52-68 to secure 2nd place and Shannon Fuller led the Cats with 13 points in the game. Kaiden Abasolo also broke into double digits with 10 points and Manny Myers led the Cats on the boards with 10 rebounds.
Kaiden Abasolo and Aiden McKee were selected to the Roadrunner Classic All-Tournament team.

The Cats hosted the Clearwater Indians on Monday as part of the regular season schedule. The Varsity team once again defeated Clearwater with a final score of 50-39. Aiden McKee led the Wildcats with 17 points and 8 rebounds in the game and Manny Myers had a great game as well with 16 points.
The JV team had no trouble against Clearwater as they won the game 44-30. Braylon Barnes led the Cats with 10 points on the evening. The Fr/So team had a monster game with a final score of 57-21 behind an 18-point effort from Braylon Barnes and a 17-point game from Jack Entwisle.
