The Mulvane girls wrestling team traveled to Baldwin last Friday for the Baldwin Invitational, a large tournament with several large schools. The Wildcats as a team finished with 67 points and finished in 14th place out of 27 teams. Leiannah Landreth finished in 2nd place with 2 wins by fall, a win by decision, and a very close 10-11 loss by decision. Landreth's last two matches were against 3x state champions. She also joined the 100 Club by picking up her 100th career win, a monumental feat, especially as a junior.

Mackenzie Rogers also reached the podium with a 3rd place finish in the 145 lb weight class with 3 wins by fall and Loren Gonzalez finished in 3rd place in the 170 lb weight class with 3 wins by fall.

The Wildcats hosted Circle last Thursday for a dual. There were lots of open matches and the Wildcats only had two girls who had matches. Saleen Jacques and Loren Gonzalez both won their match by fall.

The girls will be back in action with a dual on Thursday, February 1st at Winfield and a home dual against Augusta on Thursday, February 8th.
