MHS - Men's Basketball / February 12, 2024 By Kasey McDowell
The Mulvane men's basketball team hosted Andale last week and the Wildcats put together the most complete game of the season as all 5 starters scored in double digits for the 61-52 win over the Indians. The Cats were down by 2 points after the first quarter, but a strong second quarter had the Cats up 30-22 at halftime and the Wildcats kept the pressure on the rest of the game. Aiden McKee led the Cats with 14 points and also in double digits were Shannon Fuller and Gavin Wayman with 11 each, and Kaiden Abasolo and Manny Myers with 10 points each. Aiden McKee led the Cats on the boards with 5 rebounds.
The JV had a fairly even game with Andale except for a tough 9-27 fourth quarter as they fell 44-70 to the Indians. Canon Lazier led the boys with 14 points on the evening. The Fr/So team had no trouble against Andale, winning the game 72-48. The Wildcats had 4 players score in double digits with Jack Entwisle leading the Cats with 16 points and Brody Clasen scoring 14, Braylon Barnes with 12, and Tanner Hargrove with 11 points.

The Wildcats traveled to Circle for the 3rd meeting with the Thunderbirds this year. The teams were back and forth for most of the game but the Wildcats came up just short with a final score of 59-64. Sophomore Manny Myers had a monster game and led the Cats with 27 points and also led the Cats on the boards with 6 rebounds.
The JV team also had a close game with the Thunderbirds and the Wildcats came out on top 54-47 with Dominic Baxter leading the boys with 11 points and Canon Lazier and Brody Clasen both dropping in 10 points each. Jack Entwisle also had a fantastic game in the Fr/So game with a 20-point night as the Fr/So team defeated Circle 55-42.
