The Mulvane girls and JV Wrestling teams traveled to Marion on Saturday, February 1st and the Cats came home with 3 first-place finishes, 2 second-place finishes, and 4 third-place finishes.
Sophomore Jackson Shields finished in 1st place in the 132A weight class and had 2 wins by fall and 2 wins by decision. Freshman Emma Bowman finished in 1st place in the girl's 101-116 weight class and she finished the day with 2 wins by fall. Freshman Kammie Schanz finished in 1st place in the girl's 136-143 weight class and finished the day with 3 wins by fall.
Junior Caleb Perkins grabbed a 2nd place finish in the 120A weight class and finished with a win by fall, a win by decision, and 2 losses by decision. Sophomore Mason Cooper also finished in 2nd place on the day in the 132B weight class and finished with 2 wins by fall, a win by decision, and a loss by decision.
Freshman Tyke Creekmore finished in 3rd place in the 138B weight class and finished with 3 wins by fall, a loss by decision, and a loss by major decision. Freshman Jericka Stiles finished in 3rd place in the girl's 123-130 weight class and finished the day with 1 win by decision, 1 loss by fall, and 1 loss by decision. Senior Josie Russell grabbed a 3rd place finish in the girl's 136-143 weight class and finished with 1 win by major decision and 2 losses by fall.
