The MHS and MMS Cross Country Teams both open season at Clearwater, bring home 5 medals.

The Mulvane High School Cross Country team opened up their 2021 season at the Clearwater Invitational last Thursday, September 2nd and brought home a few medals. Victor Salazar (Sr.) finished in 20th place in the junior-senior boys 2-mile run with a time of 13:11. Kamryn Nolan (Sr.) finished in 14th place in the junior-senior girls 2-mile run with a time of 15:41. Leiannah Landreth (Fr.) finished in 22nd place in the freshman-sophomore girls 2-mile run with a time of 15:48.

The Mulvane Middle School Wildcats also opened their 2021 season at the Clearwater Invitational on Thursday and brought home a couple of medals as well. Ethan Hankins finished in 4th place in the 7th grade boys 1 mile run with a time of 6:25.90 and Johnathan Wilson finished in 2nd place in the 8th boys 2-mile run with a time of 12:36.55, both earning a medal.

Both the high school and middle school teams will travel to Wellington on Saturday to the Hargis Creek Watershed for the Wellington Invitational. The MMS races start at 8:15 AM and the MHS races at 9:30 AM.
