The middle school football teams hosted the Clearwater Indians, get two wins on the evening.

The Mulvane Middle School football teams faced Clearwater last Thursday and came away with a couple of wins against the Indians. The 7th grade team broke open the score in the second quarter with a pair of scores with a 26-yard run by Grady Myers and a 54-yard fumble return by Paxton Richardson. The Cats scored again in the 4th quarter witn a 47-yard TD pass from Myers to Brody Clasen to close out the game 20-6. "These boys have faced adversity all season, mainly through injuries, but keep finding a way to win games," said Coach Beikman. "We hope to get a few players back this week from the injury list which will help us to get guys in the right spots to play our best."

The 7th-grade team is sitting at 3-2 on the season and 2-1 in Patriot League play.

The 8th-grade boys jumped out on top in the first quarter with a 47-yard TD run by speedster Hunter Landis and a 68-yard run by quarterback Manny Myers. The defenses shut things down in the second and third quarters but the Cats scored again in the 4th with a 68-yard TD pass from Myers to Landis as the Cats won 20-6. "After a long break from our previous game, the boys came ready to play and continue to show improvement each week," said Coach Beikman. "They are a great group to coach and continue to find success on the field each week."

The 8th-grade team is sitting at 4-1 on the season and 3-0 in Patriot League play.
