The Mulvane Middle School Cross Country team finished out their 2021 season in fine fashion as they traveled to El Dorado on Tuesday, October 12th for the Patriot League Cross Country Meet.
The 8th-grade boys finished in 1st place as a team and came home as Patriot League Champions. They were led by Johnathan Wilson who finished in 1st place with a time of 11:57.06 in the 2-mile run and earning an individual league medal. In 2nd place was Lane Rogers with a time of 12:58.19, good for an individual league medal as well. Next was Braxton Frazier in 13th place with a time of 14:44.43 followed by Logan Davis in 19th place with a time of 15:42.03, and in 21st place was Qin Wilt with a time of 15:49.28.
The 8th-grade girls finished in 3rd place as a team and were led by Natalie Jester in 5th place with a time of 15:50.04 in the 2-mile run, earning an individual league medal. She was followed by Makenzie Allen in 8th place with a time of 16:05.04, good for an individual league medal as well. Kalyn Nolan finished in 14th place with a time of 19:18.51.
The 7th-grade girls finished in 4th place as a team and were led by Isabella Landwehr in 14th place with a time of 7:32.14 in the 1-mile run. She was followed by Maci Pfannenstiel who finished in 16th place with a time of 7:56.98, Abby Dewitt in 18th place with a time of 8:42.35, and Hanna Robinson in 22nd place with a time of 9:33.27.
The 7th-grade boys finished in 5th place as a team and were led by Ethan Hankins who finished in 2nd place in the 1-mile run with a time of 6:00.06, earning an individual league medal. He was followed by Anthony Jelinek who finished in 19th place with a time of 7:37.02, Ethan Everhart in 23rd place with a time of 8:57.09, and Jace Lyden in 24th place with a time of 9:16.81.
