After the first game was postponed due to weather, the Mulvane girls soccer team opened up their season with an away game against the Ark City Bulldogs last Thursday, March 24th. The Wildcat's offense was too strong for the Bulldogs as they found the net 8 times in the first half. The Cats scored 2 more goals early in the second half to end the game early with a 10-0 win.
The Wildcats were led by Karlie Kanaga who finished with 5 goals and 1 assist for 11 points. Emma Kolbe found the net 4 times and had 1 assist and Emma Hoffman had 1 goal and 1 assist for the Cats. The Mulvane defense kept the ball away from goalie Rylie Schiffelbein as Ark City had zero shots on goal.

The women's JV team also had a great season opener and defeated Ark City 5-1. The Wildcats scorers were Emma Moses, Kasey Dillon, Nevaeh Zimmerman, Kierra Cain, and Haylie Comstock all with 1 goal each. Katelyn Wyant guarded the Wildcat's net and finished the game with 5 saves with 6 shots on goal.

The girls will hit the field again next Thursday, March 31st as they host the Andover Central Jaguars at home. JV game at 5:00 PM and varsity at 6:30 PM.
