Girls soccer face tough 5A Andover Central, fall in both games to Jaguars.

The Mulvane women's soccer team hosted a tough 5A Andover Central team on Thursday, March 31st for their first home game of the season. The varsity team was locked in a defensive battle with the Jaguars with both teams scoreless in the first half. The Jags were able to slip a few goals into the net in the second half and Mulvane freshman Kierra Cain found the back of the net for the first goal of her varsity career. The Cats fell 1-3 and moved to 1-1 on the season. Rylie Schiffelbein guarded the Wildcat's net and finished the game with 11 saves with 14 shots on goal.

The women's JV team had trouble breaking through the Jaguar's defense and fell to Andover Central 0-4 to move to 1-1 for the season. Katelyn Wyant guarded the Wildcat's net and finished the game with 14 saves with 18 shots on goal.

The Wildcats will be back in action next Friday, April 8th as they host the Augusta Orioles at Lyle Couch stadium with JV starting at 5:00 and varsity at 6:30 PM.
