The Mulvane Middle School Cross Country team traveled to Andover on Tuesday, September 20th for the Andover Invitational. The Wildcats came home with 7 medals from the meet and a 4th and 6th place team finish. The 8th-grade girls did not have enough runners for a team finish, but Abby Dewitt grabbed a medal with a 20th-place finish with a time of 12:07.80 in the 1.5-mile run. The 8th-grade boys finished in 6th place as a team and Ethan Hankins finished in 2nd place with a time of 8:50.94 and Cole Zimmerman was on his tail for 3rd place with a time of 8:52.26 in the 1.5-mile run.
The 7th-grade girls finished in 4th place as a team and had 2 medalists. Kaitlyn Paul finished in 10th place with a time of 6:56.48 in the 1-mile run and Peyton Bartel finished in 20th place with a time of 7:26.66. The 7th-grade boys did not have enough runners for a team score but also had 2 medalists as Wyatt Ryherd grabbed 11th place with a time of 5:58.69 and Colby Billingslea finished in 20th place with a time of 6:19.53 in the 1-mile run.
