MHS - Men's Soccer / October 19, 2022 By Kasey McDowell
The Mulvane men's soccer team hosted their final game of the season and celebrated senior night on Tuesday, October 18th as the Winfield Vikings came into town for an AVCTL league matchup. The Cats faced Winfield earlier in the month and fell 0-1, however the Cats would come out on top this time, winning 2-1 over the Vikings.
The Wildcats were down 0-1 at halftime but Aiden McKee sent a corner kick and Jax Gerber sent the kick into the net early in the second half. With 15 minutes left in the game, Garrett Booe nalied a deep shot to put the Cats up 2-1. Mulvane was able to hold on to the lead for the win.
Alex Dial guarded the Wildcats net and had some huge saves in the game and finished the game with 6 saves with 7 shots on goal.

The JV squad also had a great game against the Vikings, winning 1-0 with Bo Gashler finding the net for the Wildcats.

The varsity team finished the regular season with a 7-9 record and 6-4 in league play. The JV team finished the season with a 3-8-1 record. The Wildcats will participate in regionals next week. The first game opponent/time is yet to be determined at this time.
