The 8th-grade boys basketball teams wrapped up their 2022-23 regular season on Monday with home games versus Wellington. The 8A boys capped their terrific season with a 51-19 route to remain perfect at 13-0 and 11-0 in league play. The Cats wasted no time and jumped out to a 19-5 lead and 39-11 at halftime and were able to coast for the 51-19 win. Jack Entwisle, in his first game back from a foot injury, led the boys with 14 points on the evening and Hudson Myers and Brody Clasen dropped in 10 points each.
The 8B game was a little closer but the Cats had the game in hand for the most part as they went into halftime up 12-7 and increased their lead by another 5 points after the 3rd quarter and held on for the 36-29 win. Breken Downs led the Wildcats with 17 points in the game. The 8B team had a great season as well, finishing with a 12-1 record.

The 7A had trouble getting points to fall against the undefeated Wellington team as most teams have this year, and the Cats fell 9-57. Parker Kraft led the boys with all 9 points in the game. The 7A team finished the regular season with a 3-10 record and 3-8 in league play.
The 7B team started off slow with a 2-11 first quarter but rebounded in the next two quarters by outscoring Wellington 21-6 and were able to grab a 30-27 win. Fenton Smith led the boys with 9 points in the contest. The 7B team finished with a 9-4 record and 8-3 in league play.

The Cats will host the season-ending tournament this coming Saturday with the 7th graders playing at 9:00 AM versus Rose Hill and the 8th grade boys playing the winner of Winfield and Wellington at 11:30 AM.
