The Mulvane High School baseball team kicked off their 2022-23 season at home hosting the Winfield Vikings in an AVCTL D3 doubleheader. The Wildcats had a monster 4th inning to take game 1 in a 17-7 run rule. Sophomore Nolan Fevurly got the start on the mound for the Cats and pitched 3.1 innings and faced 21 batters and had 6 strikeouts. Brayden Tatum came in for relief and earned the win for the Wildcats. He tossed 1.2 innings, giving up zero runs, one hit, and walking zero.
Mulvane had 8 hits in the game. Garrett Olson, Parker Richardson, Trenton Davis, Aiden Heckathorn, Nolan Fevurly, and Brayden Tatum each had hits in the game for the Cats. Garrett Olson and Parker Richardson both had 2 hits to lead the Wildcats.
Mulvane grabbed 15 RBIs in the game. Garrett Olson, Parker Richardson, Trenton Davis, Aiden Heckathorn, Nolan Fevurly, Brayden Tatum, Tyke Creekmore, Lucas Sorensen, and Parker Clubb each had RBIs for the Cats. Brayden Tatum knocked in 3 runners to lead the Cats in RBIs.
The Mulvane Wildcats stole 2 bases during the game with Trenton Davis and Aiden Heckathorn both recording stolen bases.

In game 2, the Cats didn't record any hits but were able to get several players on base with walks and hit-by-pitch and crossed the plate three times for the 3-1 win. Julien Myers pitched a complete game for the Wildcats, giving up one run, four hits, and walking two. Freshman Parker Clubb knocked in 1 runner to lead the Cats in RBIs. The Cats stole 4 bases during the game with Garrett Olson, Gavin Wayman, Trenton Davis, and Parker Richardson all with stolen bases.

The JV boys won both games against Winfield 15-0. The Cats will be back in action next Thursday, March 30th as they travel to Buhler for a league matchup with the Crusaders.
