Wildcats face tough McPherson team for homecoming. Garrison leads all scorers, #7 All-Time.

After two games postponed due to weather in the new year, the Wildcats finally returned to the court last Friday as they hosted McPherson for the MHS Winter Homecoming games. The varsity girls fell behind in the first quarter 9-16 and went into halftime down 18-33. The second half fared much better for the Wildcats, but they could not make up the points and fell 39-56 to the good Bullpups team. Teagan Garrison led the Cats with 12 points on the evening and Ashley Young led the girls on the boards with 8 rebounds.

Teagan Garrison moved up to the #7 spot in the Mulvane High School All-Time scorers last Friday. She currently has 686 career points.

The JV team played a competitive game against McPherson but fell 24-35. The girls fell behind in the first quarter 8-15 and went into halftime down 12-22. The girls made up a lot of ground in the third quarter with a 10-1 frame, but a tough 2-12 fourth quarter closed out the Cat's chances with the final score of 24-35. Kylie Schwanke led the Cats with 7 points in the game and Reece Lazier dropped in 6 points.

There was no freshman/sophomore game.
