The Lady Cats celebrate after defeating El Dorado
The Mulvane Wildcats shocked the El Dorado Wildcats in two sets 25-23, 26-24

On Tuesday, October 1, 2019, The Mulvane Wildcats shocked the El Dorado Wildcats  in two sets 25-23, 26-24 at the Winfield Triangular.

Going into the match, El Dorado was the No.6 ranked team in the Class 4A sub-state seedings at 14-10 on the season.

Mulvane was lead by Sr. Alexis Abasolo with a team high 7 kills, 10 assists, and 12 digs, followed by Fr. Karlie Kanaga with 6 kills, 10 assists, and 7 digs, along with Sr. Carson White who had 4 kills, 1 assist, and 10 digs. 

Overall, the entire team executed well in both sets and played one of their best games of the season. 

The ladies will be in action this weekend, Sat. Oct. 5 in Belle Plaine, where they will open up against the host team Belle Plaine Dragons at 8:30am. The Lady Cats have an opportunity to earn a few victories this weekend that could potentially launch them out of the No. 18 sub-state seed, and the potential match up with the No. 1 seed Andale Inidans, sitting at 25-1.
