The MMS Volleyball teams wrapped up their season last Saturday in the Patriot League Tournament. The 8th graders split with Wellington and Prairie Hills, but due to points they were eliminated from the tournament. The 7th graders defeated Haysville West and fell to Prairie Hills and Wellington.

The 8th A team finished the season with a 10-5 record and 3-3 in league play. Olivia Ellis led the Wildcats in serves with 156, aces with 46, points with 111, passing percentage with 91%, and digs with 52, dink percentage with 100% (14/14), and hits with 76. Madi Cunningham led the cats in passing with 478 passes out of 530 for a 90% average, dinks with 21 out of 24 for an 88% average, and kills with 16. Regan Witt and Makenna Treat both finished with a 95% set percentage with Regan having 71 out of 75 sets and Makenna going 41 for 43.

"The girls worked hard all season," said Coach Wasinger. "If they continue to play together, good things will happen in high school--a lot of good athletes in this group."
The 7th A team finished the season with a 11-5 record and 4-2 in league play. The 7th B team finished the season with a 10-3 record and 4-2 in league play. No season stats were kept for the 7th grade teams. "We had a great season," said Coach Payne. "The girls improved and developed so much as players. I love how hard they worked. As a whole, they are amazing servers and are usually very consistent in their serving, which was a huge asset for our team. Even though we did not advance in the tournament as far as we could have, I think that we were able to play with the top teams in our division competitively."
