The 7th grade group got off to a great start Monday night against Winfield. "We always expect a little bit of chaos in the first game, but our girls did a pretty good job of staying focused and executing on both sides of the ball. Our defensive pressure allowed us to take an early lead which provided us an opportunity to work on several different offensive and defensive sets," said Coach Hansen.

"Kinley Kendrick and Grace Carpenter's defense and speed were the difference for us in the first half. Together they were able to force turnovers and lead us into our transition offense. In the second half, we were able to get a lot of playing time for our bench players. Coach Hargrove and I love it when we get the chance to play our entire roster in the varsity game. We believe that exposure to tougher competition is great for the growth of our players and our program," said Coach Hansen.

Elle Everhart and Sadie Williams dominated the inside game grabbing a combined 15 rebounds and scoring 10 points on put-back opportunities," said Coach Hansen.
