The Mulvane baseball team went 2-2 last week against two Wichita teams, sitting at 9-5 on the season.

The Mulvane baseball team played two doubleheaders last week against Wichita Independent on Thursday and Wichita Collegiate on Monday. The Cats swept Independent with 17-2 and 10-3 wins and fell to Collegiate 8-9 and 4-15. 

The Wildcats wasted no time in game 1 against Independent as they scored 8 runs in the first inning and 9 runs in the second inning, run ruling the Panthers 17-2 in three innings.
 
Richardson earned the win for the Mulvane Wildcats. He tossed three innings, giving up two runs, three hits, and walking two.
 
Mulvane had 14 hits in the game. Cooper Schmidt, Hunter Seier, Julien Myers, Caleb Perkins, Tab Creekmore, Parker Richardson, and Trey Abasolo each had hits in the game for the Wildcats. Cooper Schmidt and Hunter Seier both had 3 hits to lead the Cats.
 
Mulvane grabbed 15 RBIs in the game. Cooper Schmidt, Hunter Seier, Julien Myers, Caleb Perkins, Tab Creekmore, Trey Abasolo, and Mason Ellis each had RBIs for the Wildcats. Hunter Seier knocked in 4 runners to lead the Mulvane Wildcats in RBIs.
 
The Mulvane Wildcats stole 4 bases during the game with Cooper Schmidt, Julien Myers, Tab Creekmore, and Ian Comer all grabbing stolen bases.

The Cats scored runs in every inning in game 2 against the Panthers and won 10-3 in 7 innings.

Myers earned the win for the Mulvane Wildcats. He tossed four innings, giving up two runs, five hits, and walking one. Mason Ellis provided relief with three innings pitched, allowing 1 run on 2 hits, and three strikeouts.

The Wildcats grabbed 9 hits in the game. Tab Creekmore, Julien Myers, Hunter Seier, Trenton Davis, Ian Comer, and Cooper Schmidt each grabbed hits in the game for the Wildcats. Tab Creekmore went 3-for- 3 at the plate to lead Mulvane in hits.

The Wildcats had 6 RBIs in the game. Tab Creekmore, Julien Myers, Hunter Seier, Trenton Davis, and Parker Richardson each grabbed RBIs for the Wildcats. Parker Richardson knocked in 2 runners to lead Mulvane in RBIs.

Mulvane stole 7 bases during the game with Tab Creekmore, Julien Myers, Hunter Seier, and Trenton Davis all grabbing stolen bases.

Mulvane fell behind early and had a late surge in the 7th inning but fell just short in an 8-9 loss to Wichita Collegiate on in game 1 on Monday.
 
Hunter Seier started the game for Mulvane Wildcats Varsity. The righthander went one and one-third innings, allowing five runs on four hits and striking out three. Keaton Herd threw five and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.
 
Mulvane collected 7 hits in the game. Parker Richardson, Tab Creekmore, Trey Abasolo, Garrett Olson, and Julien Myers each collected hits in the game for the Cats. Parker Richardson went 3-for- 4 at the plate to lead the Mulvane Wildcats in hits.
 
Mulvane grabbed 8 RBIs in the game. Parker Richardson, Trey Abasolo, Julien Myers, Tucker Garrison, and Ian Comer each collected RBIs for the Cats. Parker Richardson knocked in 3 runners to lead the Mulvane Wildcats in RBIs.

Mulvane fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 4-15 loss to Wichita Collegiate in game 2.
 
Cooper Schmidt was on the pitcher's mound for Mulvane Wildcats Varsity. The righthander lasted two-thirds of an inning, allowing four hits and seven runs while striking out two. Ian Comer, Tab Creekmore, and Garrett Olson each contributed in relief for the Wildcats.
 
The Mulvane Wildcats collected 8 hits in the game. Parker Richardson, Cooper Schmidt, Hunter Seier, Ian Comer, Trey Abasolo, Trenton Davis, and Tab Creekmore each collected hits in the game for the Wildcats. Parker Richardson went 2-for- 2 at the plate to lead Mulvane in hits.
 
The Mulvane Wildcats grabbed 3 RBIs in the game. Parker Richardson and Cooper Schmidt both collected the only RBIs for the Mulvane Wildcats. Parker Richardson knocked in 2 runners to lead Mulvane in RBIs.

The JV squad faced Ark City last week as Collegiate does not have a JV team and split with the Bulldogs 6-3 and 4-5. The JV team is sitting at 3-8 on the season. The Wildcats are sitting at 9-5 on the season (3-5 in league play) and will be back in action tomorrow as they travel to Cheney to take on the Cardinals in a non-league doubleheader. The JV will travel to Andover Central for a doubleheader against the Jaguars.
