The Mulvane Track & Field team opened their season on Monday, March 28th at the Andover Early Bird Invitational and the Wildcats had a good showing with several athletes placing in the top 10 in several events, including 5 Wildcats taking first place in their events. There were no team scores for this meet and no medals.
Senior Addison Whisler grabbed 1st place in the high jump with a height of 4 feet 10 inches. Senior Bella Larraga took 1st place in the javelin with a toss of 94 feet 4 inches. Senior Chase Nash took 1st place in the discus with a throw of 136 feet 7 inches. Senior Jacob Duncan took 1st place in the 400 meter dash with a time of 55.92. Senior Victor Salazar took 1st place in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:15.48.
