Coach Matt Schmidt and the Mulvane varsity volleyball girls are on a HOT streak right now as they extend their win streak to 9 games the past week. The Cats are coming off a 5-win 1st place finish in the Belle Plaine Tournament last Saturday and traveled to Winfield this past Tuesday for a triangular with Winfield and El Dorado. The girls swept the other Wildcats and Vikings in both games 2-0 (25-12, 25-10 & 25-17, 25-23). The varsity girls are sitting at 19-14 on the year and 4-3 in league play.

* Teagan Garrison - 4 aces, 5 kills, 10 digs

* Lexi Cunningham - 6 kills, 4 digs
* Makenna Treat - 5 kills, 3 blks

The JV girls split their games in Winfield, winning the first game against El Dorado 2-0 (25-11 & 25-15) and falling in the nightcap to Winfield 1-2 in a very close match (22-25, 25-18, & 13-15). The JV girls are sitting at 16-9 on the season.
The varsity and JV girls will be back in action this coming Tuesday, October 11th at home against McPherson and Buhler, starting at 5:00 PM.

The C-Team girls traveled to Buhler on Thursday for a quad against Wellington, Buhler, and Circle. The girls started out strong against Wellington, winning 2-0 (25-12 & 25-16). The girls took Buhler to three games but fell in a very close match 1-2 (25-22, 20-25, & 13-15). The girls had to switch the rotation around for the third game due to an injury and fell 0-2 to Circle 0-2 (17-25 & 15-25). The C-Team is sitting at 20-8 on the season.
The C-Team girls will be back in action next Thursday, October 13th at Circle.
