MHS - Women's Basketball / February 4, 2023 By Kasey McDowell
The Mulvane girl's basketball team hosted the Collegiate Spartans on Tuesday, January 31st for a non-league matchup. The Cats faced the Spartans in the Wildcat Classic the previous week and won that contest 44-29. The Wildcats kept up the pressure on the Spartans all game long again, outscoring them 23-12 in the first half and again 26-12 in the second half, winning 49-24. Madison Phipps and Teagan Garrison led the girls with 13 points each in the game. 
Ashley Young and Ashlyn Alumbaugh had another great game down in the paint, leading the Cats in rebounds with 10 and 7 respectively.
The JV team had a tight 2-quarter game against Collegiate and the Cats were down 2-5 after the first quarter. The Cats came back and won the second quarter and the game 17-16. Rylee Dieker led the Wildcats with 6 points in the game. There was no Fr/So ballgame.
