How many servers does it take to win a match? For the Mulvane 7A Volleyball team, turns out just one when they played Haysville West last Monday, September 14th at the Haysville West Triangular. Morgan Clark started the serving for the Wildcats and she served all 25 points as the Cats blanked the Gorillas 25-0 in the first game. The girls won the second game 25-12. The 7A team took care of Ark City as well, 25-19 and 25-20. The 7B team defeated Haysville West 25-14 and 25-18 and Ark City 25-23, 25-19.
The 8A team took care of business at the triangular as well as they defeated Haysville West in 3 games (18-25, 25-22, 15-9) and Ark City in 3 games as well (18-25, 25-22, 15-9). The 8B team won both of their matches. They defeated Haysville West (25-20, 25-18) and Ark City (25-18, 25-13)
The girls travelled back to Haysville West on Thursday, September 17th for a dual with the Gorillas and the girls swept the Gorillas in all 4 matches. The 8A team won their match 2-0 (25-23, 25-12) and the 8B team won their match 2-1 (18-25, 25-20, 15-13). The 7A team won their match 2-0 (25-7, 25-11) and the 7B team won their match 2-0 (25-17, 25-7).
The girls remain undefeated on the season as the 8A, 8B, 7A, and 7B are all sitting at 5-0 on the season and 2-0 in league play. They will host the Rose Hill Rockets this Thursday, September 24th at the Mulvane High School gyms and will be available for streaming on the NFHS network. The games will start at 5:00 PM.
