For the Seniors getting ready to play in their last regional tournament next week, being on top of the AVCTL League Standings is nothing new. In fact, their entire softball career with the Wildcats, they have ended the regular season as the AVCTL league champions.  Mulvane Softball finished the 2015 season 5-1 (0.833) in the league standings, followed by Clearwater, Andale, Circle, and Wellington. Due to a few rain-outs, a couple of league games were not able to be played this season, with the 5-1 record the Wildcats grab the 6th league title in a row.

The league title this season marks 6 in a row for Coach Mason and the Ladycats. The run started in 2010 when the Cats finished 9-1 in league and ended up posting the best season of Mulvane Softball history with 22-4 record and 2nd place in 4A State.
In the 2011 season, the cats finished 8-2 in league and shared the league title with Rose Hill. In 2012, the cats were the lone league champs with an 8-2 league record and made another trip to State after winning the regional tournament.
2013 was another great season for the softball team as they took home the league title with a 7-1 record and also won regionals to get another state bid.  2014 was another season to share the league title as both the Wildcats and McPherson ended with an 8-2 record.

The Seniors this year are #10 Brileigh Ballinger, #11 Kiley White, #25 Emery Potluck, #35 Haley Hayes, and #36 Ashley Wilson.

The softball team will try to make their 8th state tournament with their first regional game on Tuesday, May 19th at 4:30 PM vs Wellington.
