The Mulvane softball team fall just short to the Vikings, fall to a tough Rockets team.

The Mulvane softball team had the week off last week but had 4 games the previous week against the Winfield Vikings and Rose Hill Rockets. The Wildcats fell to the Rockets 1-11 and 4-14 and had a couple of close games against the Vikings 2-3 and 2-5.
Mulvane moved 1 runner across the plate in the first inning but had trouble scoring any more in the 1-11 loss to Rose Hill in game 1 of the doubleheader.
Jalin Lavers led things off in the pitcher's circle for Wildcats. The pitcher lasted two innings, allowing two hits and four runs. Addison Mackey threw two and two-thirds innings out of the bullpen.
The Cats had 6 hits in the game. Tenley Canfield, Emma Kendrick, Addison Mackey, India Downs, Avrie Warner, and Kammie Schanz each had hits in the game for the Mulvane Wildcats. Madison Phipps knocked in 1 runner to lead the Wildcats in RBIs.
The Cats stole 2 bases during the game with Tenley Canfield and India Downs both recording stolen bases.

The Cats scored 3 runs in the first inning in game 2, but the Rockets moved across 6 runs and didn't look back as the Cats fell 4-14.
Addison Mackey led things off in the circle for Wildcats. Mackey lasted one and one-third innings, allowing five hits and eight runs while striking out one. Jalin Lavers threw three and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen.
The Cats had 5 hits in the game. Madison Phipps, Addison Mackey, Avrie Warner, and India Downs each had hits in the game for the Cats. Madison Phipps went 2-for- 3 at the plate to lead the Wildcats in hits.
The Cats collected 3 RBIs in the game. Addison Mackey knocked in 2 runners to lead the Wildcats in RBIs and Madison Phipps finished with 1 RBI.
The Mulvane Wildcats stole 3 bases during the game with Madison Phipps, Addison Mackey, and Emma Kendrick all grabbing stolen bases.

Mulvane scored a couple of late runs in game 1 against Winfield but fell just short in the 2-3 loss.

The Mulvane Wildcats had 2 RBIs in the game. Tenley Canfield and India Downs both had the only RBIs for the Mulvane Wildcats.
Mulvane stole 1 base during the game with Emma Kendrick grabbing the only stolen base.

Mulvane made a late run in the last inning in game 2 but fell 2-5 loss to Winfield.

The Cats are sitting at 2-10 (0-6 in league play) on the season and will be back in action tomorrow as they travel to Cheney for a non-league doubleheader against the Cardinals.
