The Mulvane softball team has been hitting the practice field for a couple of weeks, getting those arms loose and getting ready for the upcoming season. They held their first Annual Alumni game this past Saturday with a great turnout from previous players, including Coach Charlie Mason and Coach Bill Nunn. It was a great team and community-building event with lots of fun, laughs, and a cookout afterward. Thank you to all who participated and donated their time to help this first scrimmage a successful event.

The Wildcats are looking forward to this season as they are returning 8 starters from last season, 4 of them were all-league players from last year, including team-leading batter sophomore Madison Phipps who finished with a .409 average, 27 hits, and 11 RBIs. Also returning is all-state sophomore India Downs who finished with a .375 average, 21 hits, and 12 RBIs last year. All-league Junior Emma Kendrick will be back in the field this year, looking to help keep the defense solid as she finished last year with a .904 fielding average. All-League sophomore Addison Mackey will also be back to help solidify the defense as she finished last year with a .952 fielding average.

In the pitching circle, the cats are returning junior Jalen Lavers who faced 457 batters last season and had 77 strikeouts.
