The state-wide and regional softball awards have been announced and the Wildcats have 3 players earn additional awards from the 2022 season.
Sophomore Addison Mackey received 4A All-State Honorable Mention recognition from the Kansas Softball Coaches Association and also from the Sports In Kansas publication for 3rd base. Addison also earned All-Metro 3rd Team honors from the Wichita Eagle, which honors the best players from the Wichita area. Mackey led the team this season in some batting categories with a .561 average, 37 hits, 6 doubles, 1 home run, 23 RBIs, and 20 runs scored. She finished the season with 39 putouts, 10 assists, and a .891 fielding average.
Sophomore Madison Phipps received 4A All-State Honorable Mention from the Sports in Kansas publication for catcher. Madison also earned All-Metro 3rd Team honors from the Wichita Eagle, which honors the best players from the Wichita area. Phipps finished the season with a .469 batting average, 30 hits, 6 doubles, 2 triples, 1 home run, 18 RBIs, and 23 runs scored. She also had 137 put outs and a .952 fielding average with several runners thrown out on the bases.
Freshman Olivia Ellis received 4A All-State Honorable Mention from the Sports in Kansas publication for outfield. Ellis finished the season with a .344 batting average with 21 hits, 8 doubles, 1 triple, 17 RBIs, and 18 runs scored. She also had 11 put outs on defense and finshed with a .923 fielding average.
